ADAMU BANNED..................

Finally Dr. Amos Adamu and Reynald Temarii, both FIFA Executive Committee members have been banned over claims they asked for money in exchange for World Cup votes.
Amos Adamu

Both men were found guilty of the bribery allegations leveled against them.

It was very clear from the video footage released by Sunday Times showing Dr. Amos Adamu clearly asking for funds he claims to want to use for football development in Nigeria to be paid directly to him in exchange for his votes.
When the FIFA Ethics Committee first started meeting to find proofs that there was any wrong doing by Adamu and Temari, I wasn't quite sure what exactly they were looking for and at some point I thought this was another ploy by FIFA to cover up an obvious wrong doing.

This was not the first time FIFA has turned a blind eye to what was a clear foul play by individuals or associations affiliated to them. Remember during the U-17 World Cup which was hosted in Nigeria last year that there were question marks raised by some individuals in Nigeria over the age of Golden Eaglets captain, Fortune Chukwudi, especially when Barr. Amesiemeka, brought picture proofs and said he had video footages of the boy playing for a Nigerian clubside's feeder team as an 18years old boy some 10years ago. Another member of that team, Omoh Ojabu was also another player that people had proofs that he was not illegible to be a part of that team but FIFA turned a blind eye, instead relied on the inaccurate MRI scan to proof they were all within the age-limit.

Well FIFA finally did her reputation a world of good with the decision of the ethics committee to ban Amos Adamu and Temarri. the durations of the bans and the extent of the punishment to both men is another issue entirely but I really think this is a move in the right direction by FIFA.

Now I hope the EFCC can step in and question Amos Adamu for various allegations against him at home. He kept escaping everytime there are allegations against him because he has partners in strong places and now he has brought a really big embarrasment on the reputation Nigeria is trying to correct on the World stage.

Adamu needs to answer various question concerning COJA and its management.
