Hapoel Be’er Sheva forward Anthony Nwakaeme has emerged player of the season in Israel following his outstanding season which led to his club winning back-to-back Isreali league title.
In a pool conducted by One.co.il, the Nigerian got 36.5% of the total vote cast by 250 thousand readers of the site which largely covers the league in Israel.
Nwakaeme scored 14 goals in the league, a ratio of a goal ever 2, 563 minutes, he also had 10 assist, 54 shots on target and completed 1,003 passes.
The Nigerian striker is reportedly one of the players that have caught the eyes of coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr and could be in the frame for an invite to the national team in the near future.
