UGO EHIOGU LAID TO REST

Ugo Ehiogu's funeral held today in London with family and friends gathering to pay their last respects to the former Tottenham U23 coach who died of heart attack in a London Hospital last month after collapsing at the club's training ground.

Former team mate at both Aston Villa and Middlesbrough, Gareth Southgate was among those who were present  at St Michael's Church, Highgate where he gave a speech in tribute to his friend.

Another Villa team-mate and best man at his wedding, Dwight Yorke was on hand to help carry his coffin into the church, and described the service as an amazing occasion.

Former England defender Ledley King,  former Spurs players Les Ferdinand and Tim Sherwood also attended, along with ex-Middlesbrough stars Paul Ince, George Boateng and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

Villa stalwarts at the service included former managers Brian Little and Ron Atkinson, and ex-striker Dion Dublin.
