The team was denied funds at some points, the team cheated death on their way to Gambia, Siasia's car was burgled in the USA, the team was abandoned, the Sports Minister denied the team, some clubs refused to release some of Siasia's key players and we can't forget some not so good results they've picked up on the way to the Olympics which made Siasia himself admit at some point that his team isn't ready for the Olympics task.
OK, let's deviate a little, just less than two weeks ago, the Flying Eagles of Nigeria, led by Coach Emmanuel Amuneke failed to qualify for the U20 AFCON and that in turn means they won't be at the next U20 World Cup. I remember they also had issues with preparation and it was so bad the boys refused to train at some point after defeating Sudan 2-1 in Khartoum, they went on to lose the return leg 4-3 in Lagos.

I should probably write on the Flying Eagles later..........
As we speak there's a lot of uncertainty and distraction around the Super Eagles. The only thing that's sure with the team at the moment is that Salisu Yussuf is the Head Coach of the Super Eagles on a temporary basis, at least till the NFF finds the Super Coach they are looking for {with a microscope or probably on google.com}.
Some days ago I saw some comments credited to the NFF that the Flying Eagles team -that failed to qualify for the U20 AFCON- will be moved to the Super Eagles. Now I don't have a problem with the boys stepping up if they are good enough, I just think it's the coach's job to look at them and move those he deems fit to the senior team, NOT THE NFF.

I'm happy the team have the experience of John Mikel Obi {I also need to write on this guy too} to count on, but would that be enough to see them put up an inspiring performance in Brazil? I'm not too sure. The Olympics start next week so maybe Siasia can work up some sort of magic now that he has every player he needs in camp.
Well what do I know??!!! Anyway, I wish the team all the luck they need in Brazil
